Great Big Green Week is the UK's biggest ever celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature, and everyone is invited. The Friends of Leazes Park are organising a week of events in the park and we hope that you will join us.

Saturday 24 September 2pm - 4pm

Great Big Green Week - Nature Crafts

Join us for an afternoon of family crafts in the park making bird feeders, painting stones, making & flying kites, decorating paper hearts to show your love for nature or bring along your craft to share with us. Join us at the Potting Shed - behind the Tower Cafe and next to the car park on Richardson Road.

Sunday 25 September 11am - 1pm

Great Big Green Week - Family Litterpick in the Park

Join us for a Family Litterpicking session in the park to show we care about our green space in the city. Pickers, gloves and bags available from us outside the Tower Cafe.

Great Big Green Week - Volunteer Session in the Friends Garden

Join us in the Friends Garden, next to the park's Richardson Road car park, to help with some gardening or have a chat with friends & volunteers.

Great Big Green Week - Fairtrade Coffee Morning

Join us for a Fairtrade cuppa & biscuits and find out why we Choose Fairtrade & Choose Climate Justice. We will be Sowing our Solidarity by planting the seeded Fairtrade Mark in the Friends Garden. Join us in the Potting Shed, off the Richardson Road car park behind the Tower Cafe.
